1. What is Electride?

- An electride is an ionic compound in which an electron is the
anion (Fig. 1).
- The electride is generally known as the very unstable material.
However, recently Hosono group has suceeded to in the synthesis of an
inorganic electride, which is an air- and room-temperature-stable
material.
- We are trying to take out the enclosed electron in a
C12A7C12A7 crystal to the outside.
